2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season Recap – Who Was Most Accurate?
Back in April, we shared 2025 Atlantic hurricane season predictions from several weather forecast providers. Now that hurricane season has ended, we went back to evaluate which weather forecast provider was most accurate in regard to the number of name storms, number of hurricanes, and number of major hurricanes.

Late November Snowstorm Forecast Accuracy Evaluation
On Thursday, November 27, 2025, we collected forecast snowfall graphics from three of the major weather forecast providers in the United States: The Weather Channel, AccuWeather, and NOAA’s National Weather Service. Each of the forecasts were produced for the general timeframe of Friday through Sunday, November 28-November 30, 2025.
During this snowstorm, multiple areas received over a foot of snow. Which forecast providers nailed the forecast and which didn’t? Find out in this blog.

Fall 2025 Seasonal Outlook Accuracy Analysis
At ForecastWatch, we are beginning to expand our services and in-depth analyses beyond the 1-14 day weather forecast to now include seasonal outlooks.
For fall 2025, we collected forecast temperature and precipitation maps from four major weather forecast providers for the time period of September, October, and November. Most of the providers in this analysis forecasted above normal temperatures for the majority of the continental United States. The precipitation forecasts differ between the providers, although they were all in agreement for drier conditions in the southwest United States.

We analyzed 593 locations across Europe and averaged the accuracies of forecast and persistence high temperature, low temperature, and precipitation over each country to identify the best and worst countries to live in if you need to know what the weather will be like in the coming days.
